Design has always been my passion, guiding my life and education. Born in the Dominican Republic, I studied graphic design at Altos de Chavón School of Design which granted me a scholarship for academic achievement to complete my BFA in Communication Design at Parsons School of Design (New York).

I have had the opportunity to work for and learn from multiple branding and interactive agencies in New York, London, and Barcelona. I have two specialities: brand identity design and surface pattern design.

The challenges of surface pattern design and its application to materials (textiles, paper, and fabric) and products like homewares and personal accessories have motivated my work.

In 2012, I founded Bibu, a collection of colourful children’s products. As the creative director, I use colour play, repetition, geometry, and basic shapes as key ingredients in the visual development of the brand.
